It is polarizing, and it is peaceful

Britain G8 Foreign Ministers

I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren.

I called my husband in France, who was on a plane within hours. The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarizing, and it is peaceful.

  1. I read this yesterday, and was thoroughly impressed with her wisdom. What awful choices we all have to make at times. She’s courageous.

  2. The fascination with celebrities, I think, stems from a belif that their lives are less ordinary than ours. Instead, we are so much more alike than different.

  3. When we are faced with a true reality or even a highly probable reality it is amazing what clarity one can gain. It is when we don’t see it coming that we end in a heap someplace wondering why. Angeline’s story and how she handled it is an inspiration that should make each of us think a little bit about the what if’s of life.

  4. Angelina Jolie Pitt, She is courageous. I am one of those women, she speaks of who shares the journey. One of such initial, uncertainty. Somewhat universal but such an individual experience. I stood at that threshold of uncertainty…knowing that I shouldn’t borrow trouble, but I did. It is what it is and at that point I didn’t know what it was..it was a long, trying wait with a great outcome…lessons of life.
