Hydrate: I NEED this…

ogilvy paris have come up with an innovative way to remind people to drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day. designed for vittel, a french brand of bottled water, the ‘refresh cap’ is a bespoke topper that pops up a tiny red flag every hour to prompt you to take a sip. when you twist the bottle cap shut, a timer autonomously begins, counting down the minutes until your next notification. the device encourages people to stay hydrated throughout the day in a fun and engaging way, promoting good health through design. 3. I’m afraid that little flag would get busted off the first day. I’m hard on my water bottles.

  5. This is so funny – I would be mindless enough to pick the bottle up while the flag was raised and gag on the damn thing!

  9. I just drink when I’m thirsty and not for the sake of it. It’s bad enough being beholden to the clock, without being beholden to the water bottle, too!

  10. Just read some research showing that drinking plenty of water is a sure bet to improve one’s mood. Maybe the flag should be green?
