  1. Hey Dave, I was just catching up on my Fast Company reading and watched this. Then your post. Pretty wild. And cool too.

  2. If no-one mentioned they were strangers, I wouldn’t have guessed while they were kissing! But their shyness at first gives it all away and makes it so much bigger than it actually is. You can’t fail to smile watching this! 🙂 And perhaps I should give you some of these David xxx Seems appropriate for the post! 😆

  3. Yep, kissing, hearts touching… 🙂 Funny how everything changes when we allow ourselves to just be close. And I’m laughing too at one of the previous comments above. Haha!

  4. Loved it – and the romantic in me ends this story with each of these couples falling in love and living happily ever after. Right? Good.

      1. Are you being sarcastic again? Come on, how could you not see the possibilities in everyone finding their soulmate as a result of their first kisses? Sigh…am I the only one hearing violins?

    1. The “key to the great mystery of life and progress” was the ability of men and women to fashion a mental or material picture and let his or her entire world, sentiments, and vision of every other living thing be affected by it. Even the most humble image held in the hand or in the mind was never silent. Like the tones of music, it could speak to the heart in a way that words could not. All of the “Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, Photographs and Electrotypes, good and bad, [that] now adorn or disfigure all our dwellings,” Douglass said, could allow for progress through the mental pictures that they conjured. He went on to describe “the whole soul of man,” when “rightly viewed,” as “a sort of picture gallery[,] a grand panorama,” contrasting the sweep of life with the potential for progress in every moment.

      ~ Frederick Douglass

      1. A quote I would never have associated with Frederick Douglas, which shows that I clearly have not given him enough due (though I give him a lot). The soul as a grand panorama..that we create the image of our world, yes – but somehow he wrote it so beautifully.

  5. Just saw this yesterday and loved it. I think it speaks to our innate desire to connect with others. And like Mimi, I found myself cheering for a footnote that indicated that at least one of he couples rode off into the sunset together….

      1. Don’t tell me, let me guess. You are NOT a believer in “love at first sight.” And you should try it over here on the fringe between reality and delusion–it’s pretty rad…. 😉

          1. Oh David, David, David…so much to teach you, so little time. Love at first sight; karma at first kiss, ‘just knowing’, how could it be a cliche if it hasn’t happened so often? WLS – I believe, I believe, I believe…say it after me three times and click your heels.

  6. i found this very sweet and beautiful, they were shy and nervous and tender, like middle school students, cautiously approaching each other at their first dance. the smiles, the hugs, the light in their eyes, the joy their touch brought to each other, was wonderful.

  7. I loved this! The awkward, strangeness transformed by the intimacy of kissing (the most intimate activity shared by two people, in my opinion). I imagined some of them falling in love, or at least getting a cup of coffee after.

  8. I’m in a place today where this made me weep. There were no strangers in the middle of it. And unless they put the walls back up, no strangers afterward either.
I’m stealing this. I have to.

  9. I’ve done this before ha ! ha ! It was really unexplainable events but it feels like heaven though, it feel’s amazing especially when its with the right person .
