I wish,
I could,
be bendy
this way.
But,
I’m not,
so bendy,
this way.
Perhaps,
if I was,
a wee bit bendy,
this way.
I could meditate
in her peaceful,
calming way.
I stare,
at her fine
bendy way.
And she stills
my racing thoughts.
I pause
to think,
Hey,
I’m meditating in
my pathetic
little way.

hey, you are stopping, pausing, and thinking. you are meditating.
interesting photo. at first glance, i thought it was a heart.
Me too!
Yes!! Never thought of it that way – but yes, it’s meditation too!
That’s Right! (Talk about positive spin)
Don’t forget get your Om!
Of course not. Right before inhaling my Krispy Kreme
Yes, yes you are….
(Pathetic?)
No, silly, *meditating*, kinda sorta. Personally, I suspect you’d become more (ahem) centered if you focused on a Krispy Kreme. Just sayin….
Laughing. Got it! I am so in the moment in front of a dozen donuts. Zen like actually.
I look at her fine bendy way and it hurts just to look. But I’m happy for her. My way of meditating is to sit in my recliner, close my eyes, and if I don’t fall asleep, it’s meditation.
🙂 I’m about in the same recliner class Lynne!
Reblogged this on THE STRATEGIC LEARNER.
Thanks for sharing John.
I was driving myself crazy (the complete opposite of what I was trying to accomplish) by trying to meditate the “right” way. I’ve discovered that sometimes even driving home in silence is meditative to me. Now flexibility, that is another matter…..
At least you try. I can’t and I don’t try. I may last for seconds. And flexibility, think rebar.
It took me a few minutes to figure out what this was a picture of 🙂
Me too!
DK as David Kanigan? Every morning, I bend this way and I hear my spine popping one segment at a time. Crick-crack.
That’s correct on DK, my secret code name. As to spine popping, I’m with you on all joints.
Lol!!! I could have sworn those were Mary Oliver’s words.
Ahhhhh yes, another piercing blow from radiating blossom. Woman who posts so much gentle beauty day after day and throws javelins at me and my posts. Jekyll and Hyde anyone?
You just make it so easy my friend… 🙂
Not bad at all, and this method of which you speak of, the calmness of mind one can achieve through a transplanted meditation is indeed a true form of meditation. Good post.
Smiling. Thank you for your kind words. It is about the only form of meditation I can succeed at. But we all have to start somewhere, right?
So flexible.. My Friend you are Perfect with your Imperfections. (:
Awwwww, how sweet.
