You’re always in a rush

hurry, rush, frenzied

You’re always in a rush,
or else you’re too exhausted to have a proper conversation.
Soon enough,
the long hours,
the traveling,
the broken sleep
have all crept into your being and
become part of you,
so everyone can see it,
in your posture,
your gaze,
the way you move and talk.

  1. It happens to many of us I’m afraid..Yet (there’s always a ‘yet’), when one reads this and it echoes, one is forever changed. Maybe not in all ways at all times, but little by little we pause, wait, breathe. Breathe my wonderful pal, breathe.

  2. Yesterday my son declared a ‘Pajama Day’. Self-explanitory, and I wanted to protest. How would I get anything done? So, along with his little sister, we cuddled, we played, we rested, we laughed and we tickled. We accomplished everything we needed to.

  3. This is all one reason why I’m grateful for my blogging friends. They (including and especially YOU) force me to stop for a few minutes and take in so much that is wondrous about the human spirit. I keep my own blog going as a reminder of who I really am amidst the fast pace of work and other responsibilities. We do what we can and I believe we help each other here.
