Must remember that one. Must go and rehearse the duck expressions in front of my mirror.

At a family gathering…..we just implemented the talking stick. When you have it, you aren’t suppose to be interrupted. It’s helping a little…….

In your family, they should use the stick on the offender. That’s the only way there will be adherence to the rules.

Can you hit the person with the stick if you are interrupted?

Haha! I should teach that to my grandson (who is only 7 and VERY smart)…so that he can use that on his little sister (who is only 5 and VERY cute and talkative). The other day, Katie kept interrupting Markie as he was trying to talk to me on the way home in the car…and I saw him finally place his head down into both of his little hands, shake his head back and forth, and say to his little sister…”You give me a headache all the time.” Only seven and saying that! If he used the line of this post on little cutie Katie, she would probably stop talking and try to figure out what it all means. 🙂

I struggle with this- I never care though if people interrupt me; but I try to be sensitive to people who prefer a more sedate conversation 🙂
