“On a recent trip to Maui, I had the opportunity to visit the world’s largest dormant volcano – Haleakala. The size of this volcano is massive – Manhattan could fit inside. I’m still in shock at how awesome this place is. Arriving before sunrise, I placed a few cameras out in hopes to capture what people refer to as, “The most beautiful sunrise in the world.” People gather from around the globe to witness this kaleidoscope of shifting colors – known as the “House of the Sun”. My hope is to give you a small glimpse of the energy, excitement and elegance this natural marvel brings.” Good Sunday Morning.

Amazing.
It really is…
This totally elevates the definition of breathtaking.
It does!
I’ve been there many times over the years. Awesome is too weak a word to describe it. Thanks for the reminder
You have?! Good for you. Must be incredible. Need to see it for myself.
Personal opinion is that Maui is the best island for a vacation, with the busy, hotel side, and the Hana, very restful, peaceful side. And the Volcano is pretty much in the middle.
Thanks Barney. Will definitely need to find a way to get there.
SPELLBINDING! Thanks for the morning rapture.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
It is Francine…it is. Wonderful job by the creator (the Big One and Mr Douglas) to produce this.
It was like watching the ocean on a rough day.
Yes, inspirational.
That was STUNNINGLY beautiful! Thank you, David, for starting my Sunday morning off with such amazement. 🙂
It was stunningly beautiful Carol Thank you.
I, too, have had the privilege of being on the volcano for sunrise–got up there at around 4 a.m., watched the sun come up — magnificent! – and then biked down. It’s definitely a breathtaking experience and one that should go on your bucket list, David. 🙂
Wow, you have? Amazing. It must have been something you never forget. Yes, it’s now on the bucket list. Thanks Lori
It really is….you feel like you’re on the top of the world watching the first sunrise EVER. It is mystical, no two ways about it. When you first get up to the top, the sky is a blanket of stars, and then the sun begins its slow march upward — the colors are exquisite, the sweep of the sky unmatched. You must go, David, you must…..
Incredible.
Think what that could do to the world environment if it explodes in a full eruption.
Welcome Back Sunshine! 🙂 We missed you here.
I found a free WiFi link which helps, but it will be a few months before I am fully back.
OK, welcome back.
How amazingly beautiful…
It is…must be more so in person
