  1. And here I thought it was a David Kanigan original! It says at the top: Late August by David Kanigan. I was just thinking, “Wow! David is full of surprises,” and then I saw at the bottom, Author: Margaret Atwood, and I felt a bit let down. Why don’t you write one yourself for next time? You can do it.

    1. I choked on my sandwich reading this. Me write poetry. Wow. One step at a time. I need to build up a head of steam. Copying and pasting others work (aka curation) is about as far as we’re getting for the foreseeable future. But I appreciate the enthusiastic push.

  2. I wish Margaret Atwood wrote novels as upbeat and inspiring as this poem. She’s a wonderfully talented and lyrical writer, but, so far, every one of her books I’ve read have depressed me. If anybody has read a novel by her that’s left them feeling good, please let me know.
