Pretty amazing, but what is that bright orangey light? We haven’t seen any of that here for weeks. Just gray skies.
Same in Vermont. No orange light here. *Sigh*
Sad! Snow tonight and tomorrow – 2-4″!
Someday! May it be soon!
awwww, so sad!
That’s our winters!
I hope your snow doesn’t come or at least that it isn’t too bad.
3-4 inches. Fluffy kind. Beautiful this morning.
As I read your post, I was thinking this would be good snow for making snowballs that Wally could chase!
Winter has hit hard very early this year. We have stayed below freezing for a couple of weeks, and the wind chill has gotten well below zero. I have been spoiled by mild winters in recent years, which I assume have sadly been caused by global warming. In recent years, we have been bouncing above and below freezing, so we get three or 4 inches of snow, and then a week later, I can see grass again. This year… I have not seen grass since early November.
Tonight our weather forecast calls for a low of 9° with a windchill of -4°. Typically, we see this weather in late January. Clearly, I need to let go of things that I cannot control! 😊
Apologies for rambling here, but I think part of my problem is that I have done very little traveling in my life… New England, Florida, California… That’s about it. I did not choose this, it is simply the way my life has unfolded. Traveling is very high on my bucket list, and I look at real estate listings in different parts of the country almost every day. I just need to take breaks from the long Vermont Winters from time to time.
Ouch.
A long weekend in Florida would do wonders.
Ha! I lived in Florida for six years. It is the only time I have moved away from Vermont in my lifetime. Florida is too hot for me even in the winter (actually it’s the humidity that kills you.)
I’d like to spend the rest of the winter in Eureka, California, which is way up north near Oregon on the coast. Temperature basically stays between 60 and 75° year-round. That’s perfect for me. And it is far far north of the craziness that is: “The Bay Area”.
Yes!
Not too hard to shovel then.
No.
I have already hired a guy to plow my driveway either three or four times this year. That sound you hear is the money being sucked out of my bank account! 😊
LOL Worth it though, if it comes to serious shoveling.
👍
Amazing….
Thanks Mimi!
Absolutely fantastic Dave! Thanks for sharing!
By the way, how many days in a row (almost) have you taken your a.m. stroll now? I suspect we have missed an important milestone or two! 😊
Smiling. I have been procrastinating with a post. It’s coming Paul. I promise (saying without a committed date!)
👍
Just glad to know it’s in the works!
I am embarrassed to admit that I can “out procrastinate” most people I know!
Oh that sunrise.
Yes! It was a goosebump moment!
worth it!
