Neuroscientists tell us that awareness of beauty in one’s environment for a long time, reduces stress, can have physiological benefits, perhaps even longevity,” he explained. “And I realized that there’s not a day of my life that I didn’t see something beautiful.” He said some days he’s captivated by the way a stream of sunlight hits the wood paneling. Other days, he said, he sits enthralled watching the leaves dance in the wind through the windows. After more than seven decades, he’s convinced. “That’s my explanation. That’s the secret.”

There is always something beautiful, David. Sunlight, bird song, a dogs happiness at seeing you. Great or small, there is always something.
So true Carolyn. Thank you. Happy Holidays.
beauty definitely is there. often we can’t see it because our busy minds are preoccupied with other (worthless) stuff. I like your living room deco.
Yes. Truth! Thank you Kiki.
Well…..I believe you muttered this morning…. “that’s it?” when the sun started her rise. It was yours truly who had to remind you. “Sometimes it’s just enough”.
I loved this. Another reminder that there is beauty in every day. Happy Monday DK.

Exactly.
This is the foundation of feng shui. I have long been a practitioner of it. We cannot live in a chaotic mess, but what we live with becomes an extension of who we are. Love the photo, and I can’t zoom in enough to see ‘all’ the books 😉 But i do love the little trees.
So glad! Thanks Bela….happy holidays.
And to you and yours, David!
So beautiful. So beautiful. But there should be something, “to be able to see/to feel/to recognise the beautiful things around us..” There are many people who don’t see the Sunrise or Sunset times, or don’t hear, listen to the Birds,..etc. For me, who can see them/feel them/listen t them are special humans.. Thank you dear David, you are one of them too. Love, nia
Beautiful. Yes, so agree with you Nia. Thank you. And Happy Holidays.
And that is beautiful …
Yes. Thank you.
Smiling …. Imagine if everyone would open their eyes like this. Sigh ….
