Sunday Morning

It was only then I could viscerally remember what faith had felt like—this bright feeling in the nerves, a sense of being porous and airy. Reality was clear.

    1. No. It does not. With you. Looking upward toward the heaven and seeing the blue gap, I did for several pristine moments. But the rest, the heat, the humidity, The World and its reality, not close to light and airy, polar opposite.

  1. Shockingly, you noticed this before I did (I thought I was “The Noticer”) and once again, the reminder of just how small we truly are in perspective to the universe set in. Enjoying the excepts from your latest literary undertaking. Thank you for sharing.

    1. I had to look up “Darvel”. “A Name: Darvel is also a unique masculine name of Welsh origin, meaning “oak grove.” It evokes strength and resilience, and is chosen for its earthy, nature-inspired feel”.

      Thank you for sharing.

  2. I think I had an epiphany(Truth), one past Sundays, but it shocked me. I wish I had been shocked by the depth of such a nature. Thank you dear David, Love, nia
