Miracle. All of it.

There are a finite number of times we get to do anything and after the first time it’s a count. We only get to look at the sky so many times in a life. There are a finite number of rainstorms and seasons that we’ll witness, and the number seems so big until it doesn’t. We never know when will be the last time we taste something or see someone or do anything at all. And for all the money in the world, time is not for sale no matter what the doctors say when we beg for more of it toward the end, finally seeing that we forgot to count the raindrops.

  1. “Time is not for sale”. Wow. That landed hard.

Take the afternoon to rewatch your week of timelapses. I can state with confidence that you count these infinite moments more than most. We should all take your lead.

That was a compliment. Miracle. Right?

Rain at 4:00. I’ll be counting the raindrops.

      1. No doom and gloom. I was just being nice. Plus…I wear flip flops in the summer… or go barefoot. No shoes.

    1. Cara, this looks like a slightly barbed compliment…. or is it a miracle? but then, everything is a miracle if we can see it in its own light. Good to see you in such a peaceful mood 🙂

  2. Time cannot be bought is one of my mantra sentences for many years. I realised that when I was overwhelmed with stuff I should do and time was running out completely. I changed my world to suit me better and since then I’m just FINE! (btw, I’m not screaming but can’t do bold).
But I do like that last sentence you quoted. Still – positive feelings

  3. The drawn, image of Cory Richards is telling…I will send a few short words about the post in an email…
