Tuesday Morning Wake Up Call

“I celebrate myself,” the American Walt Whitman wrote in his late edition of that famous poem, “and sing myself.” That had really struck me when I’d finally read it, in my early twenties by then. Imagine believing in a self, any self, yourself that much.

  1. Beautiful review of the book. We all do what we need to when faced with losing a child. There is no bandaid that fits everyone.

  2. “Wherever it is you’re needed. Go there”

Imagine letting go of those we love after death with that mentality.

    Thanks for the share DK.

  3. This is written with a torn heart and a blessed pen…. I only hope that I‘ll never need to read this book! Our bro and sis in law have lost their 23 old child – and I simply cannot imagine what that does to a mother, a father, to siblings. But so beautifully written!
