T.G.I.F. Oh, so true…

I acknowledge there is no sweetness
that doesn’t leave a stain
no sweetness that’s ever sufficiently sweet …

Stephen Dunn, from Sweetness in New and Selected Poems 1974-1994. (via @readalittlepoem)

And most recently, we’ve (aka “I”) been gorging on Brookside Dark Chocolate, Acai Blueberry by the handfuls…and can’t seem to get enough…

  1. Stephen Dunn obvs hasn’t had milk chocolate covered cherries in fondant — there is sufficient sweetness there!! I haven’t tried your healthier handfuls, DK, but I’m always tempted. Enjoy!

  2. Of course you would eat blueberries covered in chocolate.. 😉

It’s funny, because I put a handful of frozen blueberries in my yogurt today. Normally, I pour them in but today, I stained my hand. Thankfully, it came right off!

  3. Oh yes. There is sufficiently sweet, or too sweet. I get nauseous with too much sweet.

  4. It’s the sugar that’s addictive. The reason I became such a cook and baker after having 3 children and realizing that keeping them heathy was a priority, I eliminated white flour and sugar. Beleive me, no one need eliminate chocolate ever.

  5. It’s the sugar that’s addictive. After having 3 children and realizing that keeping them healthy was a priority, I taught myself how to cook and bake without white flour or sugar. Believe me there’s no need to ever give up chocolate…never ever.
