Lightly Child, Lightly

I dream through a wordless, familiar place.
The small boat of the day sails into morning,
past the postman with his modest haul, the full trees
which sound like the sea, leaving my hands free
to remember. Moments of grace. Like this.

Carol Ann Duffy, from Moments of Grace in “Mean Time” (Pan Macmillan; January 1, 2018)

Carol Ann Duffy’s word describe a journey into the beauty of a moment…and your peaceful, beauty of a muted, quiet, to the beginning of a day, where one draws breath, eyes filter and the beauty fills the heart, where the soul holds, building on the enrichment…grateful for the moment…
