Monday Morning Wake Up Call

Why not call the
moment of certainty, the fleeting moment
when everything that ever lived is right
behind my pounding heart, why not call
that moment: Beat-of-the-thousand-wings-
of-God-inside-my-chest.

  5. Yes, and then ask it to stay until we’re winged — or at least for a full minute. 🙂 Lovely musing/offering. Have a wonderful day, DK and everyone!

  11. This is über-beautiful – I just love that tender heaving of the bird’s chest…. and that poetry – unravels me (in a good way).

  12. Have just sent it to a friend who I felt, needed it. With a French translation…. went well. But I find myself ubable to come up with a poetic German translation. Must work on it.
