I remember too much;
I am like the air on a calm day
as it holds itself still,
letting nothing escape.
As the world holds it breath,
I keep memory in.

We need to experience it in the moment, then let it go. Otherwise we will go mad.

I hope not Claudia, otherwise I’m on the fast track to a bad place. 🙂

love this image, blurred just a bit and left unfinished. Very wabi sabi. Perfect. And the prose – blends itself well. Fitting.

This is why I’ve come to appreciate the brain damage caused by my electroshock treatments. I remember very little. I’m a safe bet to tell secrets to because I forget them as soon as you leave the room. Annoyances, grudges, resentments last about a day–maybe two if I’m focused on them–then vanish. If I didn’t keep a journal, I’d never know all the horrors and wonders I’ve been through.

Ahh, memory, a double-edged sword at times, isn’t it?….. Beautiful image and word pairing, DK.
