How else, indeed

red-butterfly-butterflies-painting-art-Hermann-Teuber

It is necessary to write,
if the days are not to slip emptily by.
How else, indeed,
to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment?
For the moment passes, it is forgotten;
the mood is gone; life itself is gone.

      1. Ah friend.. the angst is mine along with yours. You have no idea how much I appreciate this. Keep after me if you can stand it.

  1. oh and ouch and what Bonnie said, and you said, and all the moments lost…. I tell myself I will wait until retirement, already pushed back five years and undoubtedly another five more to come…daily I promise myself, today I will write… but later…

  2. I am grateful every day for my lifelong habit of journaling. It has helped me see patterns and flow that made all the difference in managing my mental health and gives me a sense of continuity when my fried brain can’t.
