Walking on the beach
is a multi-sensory experience;
the smell of the ocean,
the feel of sand or rock under foot,
the constant roar or gentle ripple of the waves,
the taste of salt on your tongue,
and the feel of the sun or mist on your face.

Aahh yes!!
effective. love the image and words 🙂
Ah…let’s go!
Such a great Reflective image, Dave 🙂 …The gift of the Creator, the treasure of the Ocean meeting the Land…. The experience of being in the midst of immense jaw dropping grandeur, ever-changing as I walk along in obscure solitude, small and insignificant to the breathtaking environment is a privileged pilgrimage. A refreshing and humbling awakening to my soul. to be engulfed in the sea breeze, the moon driven, hypnotic lure of the incoming waves, tumbling and crashing against the jagged rocks and in spots rolling along meeting the land full force, head on and covering over the dry loose sand, cooling, packing and wetting the sand, exposing treasures and quickly washing away the evidence of existence of a half devoured crab the vultures had been feeding on, wiping away the declaration of Joyous Love I’d marked in the sand, the footprints of My Soul’s exposure, carried away to ride forever along the breaking water, mounting, cresting, breaking again, gaining distance, having merged fully in the momentum, growing, gaining, spreading further, the collective treasure of the cycle of life’s, ordered rhythm of wild freedom….
beautiful with a magnificent close (ordered rhythm of wild freedom)
Agree wholeheartedly. Was in an ocean yesterday 🙂
Lucky you!
I feel the same…and gratitude for the chance to introduce my west coast kid to an east coast beach! 🙂
East coast? What state?
For the beach, Delaware. Before that we were in DC!
Wow. You get around.
Shhh, don’t let that get out! Throw in a day in Pennsylvania too 🙂
I’m like Rip Van Winkle in comparison.
Think there’s a beach trip in our future this weekend… Great encouragement…
and you are instantly made free.
Christie’s words are evocative and swept me away. I am so fortunate to wake up on the beach and see the ocean every day. It is hypnotic in all its force and glory.
You are blessed. I miss it…
That’s it. Exactly. Well-captured ! ☺
I can feel the water and taste the salt, but the awe is all surpassing: “the hypnotic lure of the incoming waves tumbling and crashing”
Yes, beautiful…
Dave, thank you 🙂
Carolann, thank you.. So wonderful that you wake up to the ocean, every day! I don’t get to the Blue Pacific as often as I’d like…I’ve only seen the Pacific and am so blessed to be a witness to such majesty..two weeks of vacation in September and some time at the beach is planned!
Marie, thank you…I also have my focus upward…
