What in your life is calling you,
when all the noise is silenced,
the meetings adjourned,
the lists laid aside,
and the wild iris blooms by itself
in the dark forest,
what still pulls on your soul?

(and to be clear, love is what pulls on my soul) what you give, you take, you make and you leave behind – most important.
Rumi.
Period. Full stop.
Ahh, another fine Rumi-nation!
🙂 it is!
Umm critical questions that I don’t know the answer of…
You are young friend (but wise). They answers will come. In time.
Hopefully! Thank you David 🙂
Knowing what pulls on one’s soul – and following that pull…
and that’s the question…and the answer…
There is something pulling at my soul, although it might just revolve around hope rather than reality. The fact that my dog would follow me into that dark forest and stay at my side, just because she loves and trusts me, is enough for now.
Wonderful thought Sarah, thanks for sharing.
very fond of Thomas too!
Yes, what a talent…

At it’s root such a simple question…. Love this..
It is Lori. And as many things, it’s all in the execution.
I know I’m late on this one. It has stuck with me since I read it. I have so many random encounters with people I’ll never see again. Sometimes they touch me in beautiful ways. I wonder how I’ve touched people.
I’m sure you’ve touched them how you’ve touched me. Present and warm.
Thank you!
Beautiful reminder David, thank you 🙂
Thank you.
That’s a very beautiful question, and a very relevant one! 🙂
It is Suzy…
Music. It plays with the strings of your heart, appropriate for any occasion.
It certainly is Claudia…
