I used to do this pretty darn well when I was working – all of the bigger, harder tasks were done in the morning (funny, but this is my best time of day – which just tells you what the rest of the day looks like), ‘list check’ around lunch time to see where I was; afternoon had-to’s admittedly got bumped. Then there’s the whole other issue about how one works under time pressure – if I’ve got too much time to complete a project, I’ll be far less efficient than when I’m down to the wire.
Of course none of this begs the question – are we prioritizing the right things, but I’ll save that thought for more coffee.

I’m directionally very good. Yet, there is a propensity to defer high anxiety projects which feeds the anxiety train…. (and your question is at the core of productivity, efficiency and peace of mind)
