We rollin’ with Mozart for the 2nd consecutive night. Tonight…Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro—“Canozonetta Sull’aria.” This favorite scene from one of my favorite movies narrated by my favorite Voice (Morgan Freeman). Hang on until the end of the clip and be sure to watch the movie. Found on Amazon here.
VOLUME UP.
Inspired by Schonwieder
Love Shawshank Redemption. Love this clip. And there is nothing better than Morgan Freeman narrating!
I’m with you. And if you want another amazing dose of magic, listen in to this:

Beautiful.
It is. Really is.
I’ve been to the prison where the movie was filmed…not as a prisoner. It’s in Mansfield, Ohio. Great movie.
Wow Ted. What was that experience like (this question coming from one never having stepped in a prison)?
Here is a link to the prison. http://www.mrps.org/
It is no longer in use as a prison, it’s a museum. It was kind of weird being in there. Six movies and lots of music videos made there. Also they do a haunted prison in the fall and you can stay overnight for a ghost hunt
Thanks Ted. I’ll check it out. Has to be eerie…
i loved this movie too, and the power of the scene hit me again immediately, just like it did the first time i ever saw it. there not many scenes that one can say that about –
Yes Beth. I was hit the same way…
A favorite movie…and you can never hear too much Mozart!
Yes…and working on too much part Susan. 🙂
One more interesting piece of the “Kanigan” puzzle here… 🙂 And how can anyone listen to that without feeling their heart ache? Thanks David.
OK Confucius. Meaning what on puzzle?
Meaning…your blog posts are kind of like pieces of the puzzle which make up who you are. Your choice of material to post here, music, your words…there are many good reasons why so many people love you, my friend.
Laughing. I had my flack jacket on waiting to absorb a Radiation (yes it is correctly spelled) Blossom spear. Thank you Carol.
Lol! David…you make me out to be such a horrifying space creature…or something. Oh well, guess that’s one of my own puzzle pieces.
YES. That certainly is.
This is one of my favourite movies, too. I have seen it so many times and the scene in the video is just perfect 🙂
Me too. And it manages to be spellbinding each time…awesome…
Thanks for reminding me of the beauty of this movie. One of the best ever released.
I agree Elisa. I rarely watch the same movie twice. This one, another story.
Great movie..great part
Classic…I agree.
This is also one of my favorite movies!!!!!
Seems like a popular choice for many of us Ilene
Yes to all of the above – perhaps a cop-out, but all have articulated my thoughts far better than I could.
Speechless. Wow.
Why? There are times when I come late to the table, and when I do I have to defer to those who got here sooner.
Smiling.
WMS….. 🙂
🙂
I feel very cultured this morning after listening to both offers–thanks David–and it is a great movie I have watched several times–love the scene you chose
Great!
This is one of those movies that I’m drawn to and repulsed by. Stephen King is my hero (the first book I was able to read after electroshock gave me brain damage was one of his), and the story is beautiful, but the violence in this particular movie sticks with me for days. Wonderful clips like this let me in without cringing. Thanks, David.
Thanks Sandy. It had a similar impact on me. Perhaps that’s why this glimmer of light was so bright (amidst all the darkness)…
I do love that scene!
Me too Lauranne!
There is so much feeling and beauty in this scene, contrary to the awful place in which it takes place.
That’s so true Carolann
