Research says: For every additional minute the average American spends online recreationally, they spend roughly 16 fewer seconds working, nine fewer seconds watching TV, and seven fewer seconds sleeping.
DK Scorecard:

Smiling. And it didn’t go unnoticed how you subtly side-stepped your own scorecard. Come on Beth.
Haven’t they ever heard of multi-tasking? Geesh 🙂
Hmmmmmm….

Eating.
ah………..
ok dk, you read me very well, like a wise and quiet monk, you never let me slide.
here is my scorecard:
work – make it tiny, like a grain of jasmine rice (unless all of the littles around me are sleeping at once, very rare)
tv – stretch it wayyyyyyyy out like a fresh piece of taffy
sleep – keep on stretching that taffffffffyyyyyyyyy
travel – often can’t even get the tech to work if i want it to, but like being away and feeling different things, make this the size of a piece of orzo
household time – if this includes cleaning, it is like a long red licorice whip, unfurled
relaxing and thinking – lay it out straight and narrow like a piece of fettucine, online is where i often ponder, relax and challenge my own thinking with others from around the globe
are you have i have completed my homework at last, even though it was turned in late? i have somehow turned mine into food math, but i am half italian after all, and we each try to make some sense of the world, as we see it through the lens of our own experience.
A+ for this effort. Shame I had to press you into action like one of your indignant students. But as expected, Shinto served it up LARGE. Thank you.
Offline socializing–my book club decided not to form a facebook page b/c more than 3/4 of us do not use Facebook regularly (so that one is stretched for me). My online time has stretched (like a piece of taffy 🙂 since I’ve been following you, David, which has enhanced my life and resulted in the thinking section being stretched (a very good thing!). Household activities? If that means cleaning, that was nonexistent even before my online time increased! 🙂
