A woman walks in the Musée du Louvre, alone.
The museum is completely empty.
We follow this young woman in her dreamlike journey through the different rooms of the museum, between amazement and beauty, art and poetry.
I’ve never been to the Louvre. Or to Paris. (I know. I know. You’ve tiring of this rant.)
I’d like to take this walk to end a long week (and esp. when the museum is completely empty).
Wonderful two minute clip. And paired with sweet, dreamlike-fitting music by Sigur Ros.

Exactly!

Awesome – it is a wonderful museum. I can only imagine to have access with no people. Some peace going into the weekend.

Yes, it would be wonderful…have a good weekend Michael
I want her connections. I love how wide-eyed she is……nice music too.
Yes, she must have some heavy pull…
That was lovely — being inside the quiet museum, the lady’s expression, the music . . .
Yes, it was all that Sandy…
Belle
Yes, Bill. That about captures it. Thanks.
I would love to take that walk as well.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

Ahhh, to be allowed to wander through this beautiful temple of art at your own pace, taking in the beauty of these timeless works–the Venus de Milo, Gericault’s “Raft of the Medusa,” the Mona Lisa, David’s “Coronation of Napoleon,” the Nike of Samothrace. Sigh….I have been fortunate enough to visit the Louvre on numerous occasions, but the thrill of a “private visit” would be unparallelled. Thx for the lovely daydream, David!!
Had to rub it in, huh Lori?! 🙂
Got to go David! It is beautiful in the Spring time, wet, but beautiful!
It’s on the list Tina. Hopefully this is the year…
That would be a living dream to catch beauty like that all in one place & alone wandering through the halls.
Wouldn’t it though! Completely agree…
sublime. this country boy from the Antipodes has had the privilege of going to the Louvre. pray tell what is stopping you David from buying a ticket and jumping across the Atlantic?
Excellent question Anake. I sitting here asking the same thing. 🙂
never fear, i’m good at the long distance advice. it’s when dealing with the guy in the mirror that the theory always comes unstuck a little …
Smiling. I know a similar guy very well. 🙂
I was there a long time ago and remember that the paintings were huge but the Mona Lisa was surprisingly small. And her smile does follow you from one end of the room to the other. I had to try it out. That alone was worth the trip.
I was having lunch with a colleague who just returned from France. And he mentioned the same thing about the Mona Lisa – she’s bigger than life yet the painting is quite small.
I agree. Just a correction – I meant to say that it’s her eyes that seem to follow you (almost the same thing).
This is so beautiful, I dreamed to be there when it was empty… Thank you dear David, what a nice start for my saturday. Have a nice weekend, love, nia
Thanks Nia. This was beautiful
This was gorgeous and memorable and I’m not going to say anything about Paris, or private visits to the Louvre (well, a client event so not solo, but…). I’m just going to say that I loved the video, and will return to it, for her wonder is contagious and the movie carries one along..
You had private visits?!!!!! Unbelievable. No, you didn’t say anything. No you didn’t.
One. And it was a client event, so I wasn’t alone per se.
Well, now, that makes me feel soooo much better
I’m so glad..:-)
beautifully shot! and I love how they captured the ‘art’ of innocence as her spirit gracefully journeyed the gallery with blissful wonderment. Sacred!… and I hope you get the chance to experience it one day too…
Yes, this was beautifully shot. Yes, I hope I do…
Museums are my favorite places — my idea of heaven. Lunch in a fine museum — beyond heaven….
Yes, I’m with you Frank. Haven’t had too many of these experiences…looking to add to the memories.
It is indeed a magical place…
I need to feel some of that magic “live”. 🙂
Another addition to the bucket list.
