OMG and HOLY SHIT mixed with the daughter’s heavy breathing made my heart race. The “oh, look at the fishes,” so random, made me laugh. I too wanted to be on that boat.
Yes, once in a lifetime experience I’m sure.
She traversed a very slim line from terrified to ecstatic… So did I, David; that was wonderful and scary…. 🙂

It really is…
The humpbacks wouldn’t have “eaten” them (being baleen whales) but they could have tipped them (if they wanted to) and then they’d be in the water with the famous Australian sharks….
But I think the whales are not as clumsy as we think. I’ve seen them up in the Queen Charlottes (not as close as that!) and they really are beautiful to watch.
I’ve never had the experience of seeing them, must be incredible.
It was. For a few moments I forgot all about being seasick.

SO wonderful…. They were saying HELLO!!! Just beautiful. I wish he would have calmed the poor girl down, though — there have been many episodes, and I haven’t heard of them crashing into the boat, lol. Just an amazing experience.
Yes, video would have been enhanced if she was a wee bit calmer. And agree, incredible video.
The girls commentary was great haha. I probably would have jumped right in there with them to fulfill one of my bucket list items of swimming with Humpback Whales!
