Photographer explains stunning and unique whale shark image
A magnificent and unique split-level image showing a colossal whale shark just beneath a small yacht is being passed around on Facebook, with some users expressing skepticism about its authenticity. That’s mainly because there was little or no detail about the image, but Shawn Heinrichs, who captured the image last week at Isla Mujeres in Mexico, assures that it’s genuine….

Hummmmm, pretty spectacular if it’s real.
Yes. Exactly. I’m assuming that we’ve all taken the high road here about admire the wonder of nature, no matter what…:)
OMG, is that cool!! I believe it’s real, as I know that whale sharks can reach the size of a school bus. I am reposting this on my Facebook page!!
Very cool…Yes…
So glad they’re harmless – at least as far as wanting to eat people goes, but what if he wanted to come up for a big breath of air just then? Or no, they’re sharks, not whales. Right. They breathe underwater. Okay then I guess the only danger is if he decides to stretch his flippers and yawn under the boat.
Yet, he “looks” so gentle in this photo!
Not sure if it is real, but very cool anyway,
Smiling. This pic is going viral. Someone will find out the truth soon.
I hope you keep us posted when they find out
Kind of like watching the Olympics, isn’t it? You really want to believe it’s all real but there’s always a cloud of suspicion…
Hmmmmm, I still want to believe Olympics are pure. Tour de France on the other hand…
Ben Johnson. 1988. Need I say more?
And yes – TdF – another big disappointment this week. Still, I keep watching and wanting to believe.
Wow!! I wish I had been on the boat – really!! I am awed by life under the sea (but I’m not intrepid enough to be like Cousteau)..
Me too…not sure I’d be swimming out there with this gigantic creature…man-eater or not.
Yup – but to be soclose from a boat? I’m there..
One back flip by this beast and we’d all be lunch, for something. See how your boat helps you then!
