  5. Great post David. I rarely watch TV. I am usually reading, writing, listening to music, or socializing on the many sites that I am a member of. Reading is everything and something that most people would never really appreciate.

    • Hi Terry. I’m generally aligned with you. I haven’t been able to get through many Maxwell books. He’s prolific. I’ve read a lot, but no books lately. Heading out on vacation shortly, and I’m going to have to pull together some reading material.

  7. Wonderful quote. Wow. That is how I feel about reading. She so beautifully nailed it. Indeed. Rest in Peace. I am on a road trip with family and listened to soundtrack for Sleepless in Seattle while driving today. She will be missed. Read on everyone in her honor.

  8. This post is not only a tribute to Nora Ephron but music to every writer’s ears.Without readers, writers would have little purpose.

  9. I will miss Nora Ephron. There is really no book of hers I didn’t enjoy, no article in the New Yorker that went unread. Reading is the grist for so much that we then churn out in one way or another (whether we are writers or not). From the incidental to the classics, there is nothing that affects me like reading,..um…other than music.
