“To me, there’s something sacred about reading a blog post on someone else’s site. It’s like visiting a friend’s house for a quick meal ‘round the breakfast table. It’s personal — you’re in their space, and the environment is uniquely suited for idea exchange and uninterrupted conversation. In many ways, we should be treating our blogs like our breakfast tables. Be welcoming & gracious when you host, and kind & respectful when visiting.”

SO TRUE!
Very good analogy and very true!
I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for making us feel so much at home 🙂
Thank you!
I grew up on a farm. Long ago, the farm hands were fed by the farmer. And it was a principle among farmhands that you “ate what was put before you.” In other words, you were grateful for the food the boss provided, and you didn’t complain about anything. Anyway, your post, for some reason, reminds me of those simpler times, and of those quaint principles that we think that we have outgrown. Good post!
Carole, I couldn’t have captured the spirit better than your words. Thank you for sharing.
This was a great description. Love it and totally agree. 😀
Thank you
Lovely.

An interesting approach about blog reading… 😉
Hello from the other coast of Canada! I love the analogy in this post! Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Hi Sylvia. Thanks.
Well said!
Thanks! I always feel at home on your blog. I also always feel free to borrow and I hope you feel the same way! I appreciate the friendship that has come from trading ideas back and forth as well… 😀
Glad you do Todd (feel at home). As to borrowing and trading (and not that I’m counting), you give so much more than you receive. I appreciate all of your help in getting me started and keeping me on the highway. I value our relationship. Happy Easter. Thanks again.
This is a more-than-perfect-book of etiquette for blogging, both posting and commenting! Wonderful perspective you give us here on blogging behavior!
Thanks Granbee
Great way to see it!
Isn’t it!
