TED & The Feared Leopard Seal

A former colleague was the inspiration for this post. (Thanks AB)  If you haven’t heard of or checked out TED , this is must-see TV.  TED is a global set of conferences formed to share “ideas worth spreading” – – covering a wide range of topics including science, nature, culture and technology.  Speakers are given 18 minutes to present their ideas.  The speakers are often brilliant and engaging.

My teenage son Eric (young man of few words) sat down and asked me to watch this TED video clip with him a while back. It was a personal moment for the two of us.  The feared leopard seal found in Antarctica can grow up to 12 feet long and weigh up to 1,300 pounds.  Nature is inspiring…be sure to hang in there to the end. Enjoy!
