we’re small
and flawed,
but I want to be
who I am

- Photo of me by Cara Denison at 6:35 am this morning at low tide. Thank you Cara. 21° F, feels like 8° F, with wind gusts up to 15 mph. January 30, 2025. Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT. More photos from this morning’s walk here (twilight to sunrise) and here (my duck friends)
- Post Title & Inspiration: Aldous Huxley: “It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.
Beautiful image of you and perfect quote, DK.
Today’s temp up here is ridiculous! It -4℉, feels like -18℉. Brrrr! Mind you, since I’m working from home today, I just might bundle up (which I cannot when I go into the office) and go for a brisk one!
Thanks Dale. =18F! That is ridiculous! Stay warm!
Yeah! What in the blessed….. It is ridiculous! But the sun is shining ever so bright and the sky is a gorgeous winter blue so…
well….
😊
Perfect pairing – great shot, Cara!
Thanks! It was!

You would be cheating yourself if you would try to be anything other than your wonderful, talented, Wally-loving, mildly neurotic insomniac self…
Laughing. Truth.
This is perfect. And I love the photo.
Thank you Carrie.
Thanks to Cara and great to see the light
Yes!
So sad to see the Potomac in the news this morning and the loss of 67 souls, your shot reminds us there is beauty on a day like this xo
So true….
Three of the humans I adore the most, AL, CD, & DK
Thank you for the photo, Cara
Well so kind of you Sawsan, even if you put me in last position. 🙂
Ladies first 🙂
Took my breath away.! So much beauty in front of us, when the world can be dark.
Yes! Beautifully said.
WMS. They broke the mold when they made you, pal, and we are the beneficiaries! And Cara, what a fabulous shot!
Ha! Thanks Lori!
The tall man out in the great expanse of beauty! Great capture, CD! /// We might look out at a touch of snow in the morning…Saturday night the 31st there was a planned power outage for an pressing issue repair(transmission line) (which was suppose to happen the w/e before they had to reschedule because it was too cold in the area to have the power off from 10pm to 6am) Last night they actually turned the power back on at 3am! We were thankfully!!!
So glad!
Beautiful 💓
Thank you!
