hello everyone, wally here. Just popped in to say hello. i went out for pee pee and it was so cold out. i was shivering and dad asked why as it was 45F outside. he said when he was a kid my age or a little bit older he used to walk to school all by himself in the winter in 3 foot deep snow and it was so much colder than this. mom snorted when she heard this. anyhoo, it ‘is’ cold out no matter what tough guy says. when i come in from the cold, i run quickly to each floor vent to see which one is blowing warm air and wherever my tushy feels warmest, i flop right down on that spot. It is so warm and toasty.
and these vents are nice and all but nothing is like napping on dad’s lap when he is working. The tapping of the keys on the keyboard, dad chattering on the phone, soft music playing in the background (dad says van morrison), my eyes get heavy, and heavier and heavier and i fall asleep. i’m safe with dad, and i love him. Oh, Wally, you have a nice warm house. You are so lucky. Dot and Lia don’t like getting cold either and we had to buy them coats the other day. And they live in Spain! ( well it did go down to 12 C/ 54 F the other day!!)

I do too. But for Spanish short-haired dogs, it’s too cold!! (and I tell them all about going to school during the freezing cold in the prairies too!)

Hey Wally Bud! Nice goin’ getting that ornery hooman of the male variety to let you sleep in his lap. You’re doin’ great. As to the 3 feet of snow tall tale, hooman’s of the male variety have a tendency to exaggerate when it comes to size. My Louise says it’s ’cause they’re always over-compensating. She’s obviously not as nice as your dad though ’cause she’s away AGAIN and I’m here having to take care of my dad which is okay ’cause he let’s me sleep on her side of the bed all night long and even feeds me cookies in bed! Like, this is the life dude! But just between you and me, I do miss Louise. She goes away WAAAAY too often to see those things she calls, “The Littles”. Sigh…. Dave, I can’t express fully enough the delight that Wally’s posts bring me! Apollo would love to sit on my lap while I work, but alas, his 70 pounds and my slanted lap from my kneeling desk chair aren’t a good combo. I am not sharing Wally’s posts with him.

Oh-h Wally, you are so-o cherished! I guess cuz you’re still a baby that the below freezing cold outdoors is shocking…but then your dad’s walk through feet of snow wasn’t done naked!
I’m a pill now about freezing cold, but back when I walked to school, I loved the snow…but I was covered up in coat, scarf, mittens, boots. Picturing you with so much gear on, you’d have a hard time moving!

Wally, you should have been named ‘Riley,’ ‘cause you are living the life of… My Lola used to sleep on my legs and lap like that, snoring like a little buzz saw. You and dad are so, so lucky to have each other. Cherish every moment….🥰🥰
