Lightly Child, Lightly

He felt at peace only in the hour before dawn, when the darkness seemed to give way slowly to a mist, and it was at this hour that he would wake and sit by his window.

  7. I used to garden before dawn to avoid the heat of the day. By the time the sun broke through the night, I was ready for a coffee and a sit-down to enjoy the cool morning breeze and the beauty of what cinematographers and photographers call “the magic hour”. It it’s the best time of day! (Yes, there was enough light from streetlights for pre-dawn gardening! My neighbors must have wondered about me mowing the grass barefoot and with a push mower! Beat doing it after work in the stifling heat!)

  10. Thought it was by you, and then realized that you’re not sitting by a window, but getting ready to be out on your way to the open skies and waters. (thank you for taking us with you…we’re ever so unobtrusive)
