  1. Ha ha, that snowman looks like HH; I always tease him with his ‘three remaining hairs’….. here he is!
Having had to take remaining holiday days before the end of the year, we took ourselves off for 3 nights to the ‘sun room’ of Switzerland, and it’s as we expected, foggy, grey and in a ‘near lockdown’ mood… GREAT before Christmas. But we pretend it’s a great short holiday and we walk along the lake, drink a beautiful Italian red on special, have wild salmon and fresh bread and butter – all this at the table of our rental flat, and the world is just as beautiful as are your pics!

      1. Lake Maggiore, the larger part being in Italy, but we are at the other end in Locarno….. You know those micro hols are not bad at all, you change your ‘four walls’, hear a different language (Italian but now more and more the Swiss German as well as the Swiss French as nobody can go abroad), and there also is the ‘laisser faire’ of the southern people, If I don’t come today, I might (or not) come tomorrow. That’s good for the rigid Swiss German attitude….

          1. If you just wait until ‘this’ is over.
We’re spending our days mostly wearing masks and the skin gets all patchy and ALL the restaurants are closed. It’s heart breaking, they’re decorated beautifully, and all have signs saying that they’re closed until things change. For most of them they will change to putting the keys under the doormat. It’s tragic, but the places we see are truly beautiful.

  2. They didn’t give the snow person a smile…it is the First Day of Winter after all…Joy to all winter is here! Just after I saw your offering I went and read an email from our Rural Electric Co-op titled “Explanation for Power Outages During the week of Labor Day”.(the heartbreaking reason was obvious)..that was one hot week! and now it is snowing in our mountains,..

  3. So beautiful… I should have said “Good Morning” to you yesterday but I see now… My Good Morning for today now. How beautiful photographs. Sun rising there as in here, but this is your sun that no one could catch it again, even you too. Your moment, your own moment and your Sun. You are doing great. I am sure the Sun knows how precious, especially in these days, Have a nice day and stay safe too. Thank you, Love, nia
