One of My Favourite Things

One of my favourite things about in person conversation…..watching someone become more and more comfortable making eye contact with you. You’re watching a soul unfold, like a flower.

  1. Isn’t it interesting though how we now HAVE to rely on seeing our ‘talk partner’s’ eyes as we no longer can perceive their reactions by looking at their mouth, lips, their face in general!
Eyes are the mirror of the soul; it’s good to be reminded of this, from time to time.

    1. I’m all for wearing masks.
But in my line of work, oral translation, so many of us realized how much we communicate our face as a whole. With the masks on, and even when one can look into others eyes, communication is very challenging. Souls seeps from every part of us.

          1. How long does it take for Face ID to recognize you? Are you this complicated?

          2. 1) Violation of State Law. 2) I am very complicated. 3) Kids would say head is so large that I need to hold the phone way out in front for it all to fit in

          3. Do you get custom made masks to fit too?

Your kids are brutal. I wonder where they got that from. Not from Susan for sure!!!

          4. The finest.
Also, I make masks. Let me know if you need some that fit!

          5. So much, so much I don’t do!
Let’s just say if all else fails I will always find a way to make a living!

        1. It does. I’ve had it foe 2 months and it is new model. Also, lens on this shot (80 mm Macro is recommended for close ups). All this camera stuff is new to me.

  2. Beautiful visually and poetically…I know I crave beauty…and love responding to humor…ever ready for either…

  3. I have a response to that too. Wanna hear it?
No…………..I don’t need your smarty pants retorts. Just breathe, okay?
I am…and it feeds a bit of the fire, that’s all.
    Good…burn inside, jut NMBY.
No, I have blossoms too….. are we mixed yet?
    who’s who
who’s on first? who’s got beautiful buds? A lot of us?

  4. Yours is one of the only blogs that I read all the comments. You have created quite the beautiful community, you know that? Of course you know that. You’re pretty smart…

And yes, to this post. That is something wonderful when you have earned the trust from the other person and can visibly see them relax and give you part of their soul (as Sawsan so brilliantly put it).
