I want a garden, a small house, grass, animals, books, pictures, music. And out of this, the expression of this, I want to be writing […] But warm, eager, living life—to be rooted in life—to learn, to desire to know, to feel, to think, to act. That is what I want. And nothing less.
~ Katherine Mansfield, (1888-1923) in a diary entry featured in Letters and Journals of Katherine Mansfield

I can identify with this –
Me too!
Says it all!
It does!
This resonates with me as well….
I can see that…
Yes – all of it.
You deserve nothing less.
Bring it on!
I think the only thing missing is the animals, “Animal”
😉
Truth. Truth. Truth.
I can see myself there. 💛
Me too!
Needs to have wi-fi …. just saying 😎
Naturally! How would I find your blog otherwise??
oohhh …. coffee up! Looks so very cozy, MJ
It does.
I can completely identify with this. <3
Me too!
And didn‘t she do exactly that? What a brilliant woman she was!
As well as being ‚responsible‘ for some truly wonderful BBC films of her work.
She did!
I’d like to be “writing from that” too. I want just a little less, apparently, because I nodded at “grass animals,” not having spotted the disappointing comma at first (grass animals would last longer than regular ones)!
Laughing. Good one.
Wouldn’t that be perfection?
Though I would have to add that I need to have access to people, too. I would not be able to live as a total recluse.
Hmmmm. Could I?
Katherine Mansfield’s words echo contentment for me…one of the books for me would of course be a Bible…
Great!
She died so young, 34 from a blood clot…I so wonder what additional words she would have gifted us with…
And time to do it all….
Bingo!
