“When it’s cold you can see the song.”
A blue tit appears to be sending smoke signals as it braves sub-zero temperatures in a park in the city of Petrozavodsk, Russia. Mikhail Kalinin, 34, an electric locomotive engineer spotted the chirping bird’s condensation rising up out from it’s beak with the temperature below -5 degrees celsius. That’s the BEST(est) ever Monday Wake Up Call….. except that I’m already nearly tired again, as it’s already 11am here. The sun is shining, it’s probably some 3°C outside and this breathing blue tit is beyond everything one could wish for! AND THAT LINE! love it

Oh, goodness, it’s supposed to be a high of -20F on Wednesday where I live! That’s -28.8888C! I’d better alert my bird-watching friends in case their visitors that day put on an amazing show like this little darling! Would their little tufts of breath just freeze right in place? I’m new to your site, and I’m so inspired every morning! Thank you!

That was my initial thought …. smoke signals!! Amazing nature … ‘A blue tit appears to be sending smoke signals as it braves sub-zero temperatures in a park in the city of Petrozavodsk, Russia.
