It’s a bit over an hour away from me. It’s a really cool place, full of history and paleontology. The visitor’s center alone is worth the visit, but the hike to the digs is fun as well. Right past the sign warning of rattlesnakes, there used to be a bullsnake that always popped up on the path, making a hissing sound. Itg was a huge snake on top of it, and (of course) you were mentally prepared to meet a snake that rattled. The fact that it was bigger than the biggest rattlesnake made no difference: RATTLESNAKE! I’m sure many a person was glad the hike lasted long enough for their wet pants to dry. LOL!
