Endurance comes only from enduring.
With a flick of the wrist I fashioned an invisible rope,
And climbed it and it held me.

…takes a lot of strength to hold on. So reminds me of these Bible Verses..4 “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit,,,John 15:4,-8 NIV
No branch can bear fruit by itself. That, will stick. Thanks Christie.

Lyrics of “Hold On” by Alabama Shakers
Bless my heart,
Bless my soul,
Didn’t think I’d make it to twenty-two years old.
There must be someone up above saying
Come on Brittany,
You got to come on up,
You got to hold on.
Yeah you got to hold on.
So, bless my heart and bless yours too,
I don’t know where I’m gonna go,
Don’t what what I’m gonna do.
Must be somebody up above saying come on Brittany,
You got to come on up!
You got to hold on.
Yeah you got to hold on.
Yeah, you got to wait,
Yeah, you got to wait,
But I don’t wanna wait,
I don’t wanna wait.
So, bless my heart,
Bless my mind,
I got so much to do,
I ain’t got much time
So, must be someone up above
Saying come on girl,
You got to get back up.
You got to hold on.
Yeah you got to hold on.
Yeah, you got to wait,
I don’t wanna wait.
Well I don’t wanna wait,
No I don’t wanna wait.
You got to hold on
You got to hold on
You’ve gotta hold on
You gotta hold on
Voice is amazing!
So true, David… We can only learn the strength of endurance by enduring! 🙂
Reach for that rope!
Lovely~
in for the long haul –
I wanted to read this yesterday… but it had been a loooooong day! 😉
That first day of the golf season was a killer. By the time I’ve “endured” a couple of weeks, I shall mock my pains felt today…
Do spill it. Score?
Oh I don’t play! I work in the restaurant! 😉
