As we get up this morning, he…

“There is a certain tone in the things that matter, an architecture of delayed light or slow sounds from long ago. Fragments for the after-silence, the sorting of a garden. Things in their essence. Spiritual forms, an invisible geometry of objects that gives strength to us through music…Whispered petitions to show us the way or to destroy us completely. Every word a last word. Every sound a revenant.”

  1. Aside from the drama and conflict here, you could get a feeling of how it is; smoking his pipe and looking for some comfort, as we all do – different realities.

    1. Your comment reminds me of:

      1. Sometimes I just don’t know what to say. This is one of those times. Such a beautiful quote. It needs digesting time…..
And just wherEVER do you find all these penetrating, keen observations and quotes?

  2. Heartbreaking… One photograph and million things to talk… My humanity is overwhelmed, deeply hit me. Life on earth, how hard, how hard… Thank you, Love, nia

  3. It’s horrible, but that room is still is only protection. It has to be fixed, but taking him out would be exile. Canada is welcoming the victims, but it will take time for them to be home. I feel sorry for them but express what sympathy I can. Canada will be not the parent’s but their children’s home.

  4. Even amongst the chaos of this photo there is a silent calm within this man. Everything can be taken from someone, but they can’t take you soul. Moving. 🙏🏻
