Sunday Morning. Only one possible prayer.

There is really only one possible prayer:
Give me to do everything that I do in the day
with a sense of the sacredness of life.
[…]
Tomorrow the world crashes in again.

  1. Amen, Dave.
Many feel the work that they do is of little importance. But it is not what one does but how one does it. The gardener and the brain surgeon can receive equal praise. For each adds to the beauty of life to someone.

God has implanted in each of us a sense of purpose. And we fulfill that purpose in whatever work we do when we apply our best effort. When we are finished and see that our work is good, we realize that what we see is simply a reflection of God’s pleasure in us. And in that is work’s sacredness.
