It was one of those humid days
when the atmosphere gets confused.
Sitting on the porch, you could feel it:
the air wishing it was water.

I really enjoyed reading this book.
Me too…he’s a great writer.
When I moved to SC in 1996, I met my new neighbor at the fence. It was late August and very hot & humid. He asked me if I knew the difference between Columbia and Hell? I did not, but he enlightened me. “There’s no screen doors in hell” True that.
Funny!
Thanks for sharing this. I love it.
My pleasure. Thanks for the feedback.
God’s blessings on you.
You could wring out the air here in the Great Lakes State! On the flip side, my skin LOVES it 🙂 MJ
Great photo!
It is!
same here, dk. and i’ve felt that way myself.
I am not a fan of High heat or humidity…August seems to be less humid than July.for me ..are forecast is: Fire danger is already extreme and is getting worse with high temperatures soaring into the upper 90s and low 100s today and tomorrow and relative humidity dropping to the teens. – so thankful for the firefighters – reinforcement Fire crews are on there way from New Jersey, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. (I can’t imagine dealing with the humidity in the Southern and Eastern USA) …
Just watched network news. Said you were getting hit in the Northwest….
