What I want to say to you, my dear, is this: Just for today, live the passionate truth of who you are. Stop looking at what is undone, what you haven’t achieved, where you’ve fallen short. Look, instead, into your own full heart…Your own strong roots are in place – in your own body, in the earth, in the ongoing story of your life, just as it is. Put your faith in those roots, and allow yourself to go with the flow. Let go and breathe into the goodness that you already are. Move with the current, not against it. Resist nothing. Let life carry you. You have work to do. Begin it.

Yes. Needed this today. Remembering the goodness I already am.
Good, glad it was put to a purposeful use. Thanks for letting me know Sandy.
What else can I say – just LOVE!
Smiling. And thanks for reblogging!
I understand this but I struggle with what to do with people who are malevolent towards me (in my whole life I have only had a few but mostly recent). Having reconciled with her, I fell into a false sense of security that everything was okay now but, she is silent (my sister-in-law). I have tried so many times and now I feel stupid to have tried. It’s best to just let her go….
That seems to be the answer for me too Julie, when the struggle is so great. To let go…I understand.
wow..there it is.
Bam!

So glad you liked it. It was POW to the kisser for me… 🙂
Those words deliver, strength, encouragement and contentment.
They do Christie. They really do.
So true,
It is sufficient enough to take care of today’s duties. Tomorrow will have troubles of its own.

Smiling. There is a whole lot of wisdom in your 17 words Alan. A whole lot.
Thanks, Dave.
I’m simply paraphrasing one who is the purveyor of ultimate wisdom and common sense.

Thankyou for taking the time to find great books of wisdom. Love this . 🙂
My pleasure Karen. Thank you.
Life is like a river. It will carry us where we’re supposed to be. Provided we don’t try to swim upstream. Loved it!
Smiling. Read this passage too that made me pause and say yes:
“I like swimming against the current, but only
because it makes me feel I’ve earned the ease and pleasure of floating back to where I started.
Jan Heller Levi, from “Conversation,” Once I Gazed at You in Wonder (Louisiana State University Press, 1999)
I say yes too.
I agree with what Alan A. Malizia says:
I was reflecting on that, just yesterday…
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”. Matthew 6 :34 NIV
Ahhhh, so there’s the source… 🙂
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Smiling. Big YES for me too. Thanks.
Reading this a day late, but no less moved. Hit me right in the solar plexus. Printed and posted where I can read it…regularly…
Smiling. It hit me in belly.
“move with the current, not against it.” yes –
That’s the secret. 🙂
Wowsza, beautiful David. Thanks for sharing.
Smiling. Thank you Yvonne.

What a lovely invitation from fellow blogger David Kanigan…
Thanks for sharing Vicki.
I set out every day to live this way. Then, 4 minutes later….
For me, it 10 seconds later. So consider yourself at the Masters level.
Who knew?! Thinking about adding that to the resume.. 😀
Why not? You will stand out.
Lol!
