      1. Yeah, I was hooked. I can’t seem to replicate that Scottish brogue–and I SO want to. Will be playing this over and over. And coming to the end where she Gets the Gift.

  1. The human body is so incredibly amazing and intricate…and in an instant something can go wrong. It is still amazing to me that something so intricate can keep going year after year. Do you ever look at your hands and think “wow, these hands have been here for decades…shocking.” Another reason though to take the best care of yourself…these bodies need to last many, many years. I love the accent too…by the way. 🙂

  2. This kind of blindness happened to my Mum in 2001 because of a pituitary brain tumour, her sight went very quickly, but it was amazing how she adapted, unfortunately she didn’t live beyond May 2002 because she’d wasn’t told the truth about what was initially wrong with her before she lost her sight and by the time she did know it was too late to prevent further damage. But, how wonderful that this woman began to see again, even if it’s very different, some sight is better than no sight at all. Very interesting story, I think my brother will be interested in this too. 🙂

  3. Had to come back and say how much I loved this … and it it as stayed with me today. I am amazed at the reliance and courage of others and the ability of our bodies to heal!

  4. How fast are we to write people off—people with spinal cord injuries, people in comas–there is so much we don’t know. And that is the most exciting and frightening thing of all. This is a beautiful story.
