An Australian Blue Heeler goes to sleep on top of the flock it has herded.

  1. Sorry to be a downer but I imagine that the sheep underneath are a little distressed. 🙁 From their point of view they have a predator lying on top of them and no way to escape.

          1. 😀
I always feel bad for the underdog.
            Geddit?
Sorry, I’m feeling silly after looking at your toe post. Apparently I’m some kind of Roman alien. Perhaps I should go and lie down…

  2. So sweet. I’ve seen video of herding dogs jumping up and running along the backs of sheep they’re herding, but never one taking a snooze. That’s adorable! The original fleece dog bed! 🙂

  3. like a parent or caretaker of any kind, once your babies are safe, you can finally sleep.
p.s. how did you get this picture of me at my kindergarten nap time? just wondering.

  4. This is amazing amazing and so lovely and so beautiful, nothing enough to express now 🙂
    f a s c i n a t e d me so much. Thank you dear David, love, nia

      1. Do other people literally perceive them as blue, then? I always wondered why this coloring was called that, when to me it’s pretty clearly actually a mixture of gray, black and white( albeit the shade of gray that might be described as having a blue undertone). Also, is it allowed to share this picture? It’s adorable and they are one of my favorite breeds( my current dog is a mix of this with Catahoula).

        1. Great questions. As to permission to share, it is not my photo, so I’m afraid I can’t grant permissions but you are welcome to it. I’ve listed the source.
