sit quietly, you happy lucky idiot

Flamenco Dancer

if you have time to chatter
read books
if you have time to read
walk into mountain, desert and ocean
if you have time to walk
sing songs and dance
if you have time to dance
sit quietly, you happy lucky idiot

  1. Dance away you little genius
    since you experience your ways
Happy as you are, may you always stay
bright, cheerful each and every day
when you find time, think again or sing
dance a bit, blink to the little idiot
    who has supposably done everything

  2. Moments of sitting quietly are awesome! After almost three weeks away from home, hubby and I went to the cabin. No internet, no cell phone. Long walks, some good books and moments of quiet thought and reflection. Lovely …

      1. Heavens no .. three weeks away for work, then two days without internet and cell. Any longer and I’d be in technoloss shock. Wonder how long that would take to cure?

  3. Absolutely beautiful grace and flow in that photo! I like the poem too, but first we’re told to sing and dance and then we’re told not to, so… hmmm. Guess it means sing and dance for a while and then sit down and rest and ponder how lucky we are to be able to do it.
