No words to describe this…sit for one minute in awe. Well, perhaps there is one word to describe it…and it was the only word spoken on this clip: “Dude!”
Snow Geese. Shot at Merrill Creek Reservoir, near Washington, New Jersey on January 3, 2013. Source: Grindtv.
can you eat them?
now there’s a PRACTICAL response!
Wow. Let me just stop there. 🙂
That’s a lot of geese!
Many!
wow!!!!!
🙄
Yes, Marina, this is certainly a wow!
darn it! I Thought one was going to hit the camera. Sorry, it must be my Bent sense of humour.
🙂 Bent it is!
Wow. That’s a lot of bird poop. Those poor fish will be cleaning up for a week after that.
Laughing…that is *exactly* what I thought when I started watching too….yikes!,
Ladies! Now that it what you gathered from this clip? Wow. Imagination gone wildly wrong. 🙂
OH NO! This brings back memories of the Alfred Hitchcock movie with Tippi Hedren, The Birds. That movie forever made me afraid of large flocks of birds. If I was there and witnessed these flying geese, I would be freaking out.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Wow….I certainly didn’t see that coming. Sorry about generating the Hitchcock flashback…:)
Wow … amazing. Can only imagine how loud it would have been if actually on the shoreline
Holy cow. Looked like large-scale confetti filling the air. “Dude!” indeed…. 😉
Yes…it did look like disorderly confetti…you are right
I live not too far from Merrill Creek, New Jersey; I’m in eastern Pennsylvania. They migrate here about this time of year, but I haven’t seen them yet. This proves they are close, and we will enjoy them soon.
Good for you Dale. Might be quite a spectacle to see…
Dave,
This is awe inspiring indeed, and what a small world it is! This reservoir is one of my kayaking spots 10 minutes from home!
I wish you a wonderful New Year and want to tell you again how much I enjoy your blog- every post inspires and many challenge, as well!
Thanks,
Karen Pawlowski
Hi Karen. Happy New Year. And thank you for your kind words. 10 minutes from your home – wow. You were potentially right there…:)
Reblogged this on photographyofnia and commented:
No words to describe this as dear David says, just watch!
Thanks for sharing Nia…
Wow!!
Yes Sylvia. This is a wow. Exactly.
Holy geese!! Probably not a good place to o swimming.
Holy Geese. Funny!
I love listening to the geese when they fly over..they sound like they’re gossiping and griping about a whole host of issues. So I of course, choose the subject matter and make up stories about their ongoing internal divisiveness..
🙂 You see all that. Wow. You’re like the Goose Whisperer. 🙂
Yes!! Thats’ what they call me ’round these parts’…I posted about that once – did you know that the really hate flying in a ‘vee’? 😉
🙂
Pretty amazing.
It is Maralee…
Unbelievable. Wow!
Yes!
That’s quite the spectacle. Deafening!
Be most interesting to be watching this live….
It would be awesome! I missed a chance to do that last fall when we thought of taking a detour from Montana up to Saskatchewan, but the snow was moving in and we were dragging a trailer, so….
Yes…pretty amazing and I am sure loud.
Yes, I bet it would be…
This morning a local field was covered in sea gulls, usually it is just pigeons. This is impressive.
Yes, I’m with you Alex. It would be awesome to watch.
That video is jaw-dropping … holy moly … that is a huge amount of birds.
Laughing @ Holy Moly. Holy Geese. Yes, LARGE amount of birds.
Reminds me of the book “Nils Holgerson” I read as a kid.
And Nils does get what’s coming to him doesn’t he Phillipp!
Yes, he does!
