Proper form for a deep knee bend:
- (A) Stand with your feet approximately shoulder width apart.
- (B) Look straight foreword and place both arms in front of you or behind your head.
- (C) Slowly and under complete control bend down until your hamstrings touch your calves. Be sure to keep your back straight.
- (D) Push off of your heels and drive yourself back up to the starting position. Now flex your quads with all your might and repeat.
- (E) Wagging tail is entirely optional.

too good 🙂
:). Laughing. Doesn’t the dog look happy? I think he’s smiling!
he’s awesome! my sister’s dog needs to step it up 😉
Laughing. Dogs will do anything for a treat. 🙂 Yet, not sure our Zeke would step it up to this level. 🙂
Love this – admittedly because the video repeats, so I’m not watching this pup over-work his back legs (yes David, I am a wuss of the highest degree). His form is terrific.
🙂 His form IS terrific. And look how happy he is. Exercise makes him happy!
Hahaha…..good and funny 😀
:)…
Agree with Mimi…..the pup’s technique is excellent!
He’s a Border Collie–clearly he realizes that he Needs to keep those legs in “fighting form” for herding duties… ;-). Nice of his human to “coach” him through it….
Didn’t know he was a border collie. Thanks for the insight. As to who is coaching who…that’s in question. Look how far down Billy the Bordie Collie is dipping vs. the human.
Ya got me there, David…at second glance the dog is clearly setting the bar…
Tail wagging should always be optional…never mandatory…..
Funny!
Now that is exercising with your best friend. Happy smile on my face this morning.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
🙂 Good!
The dog makes me smile! Have you tried it yet? After how many of those can you stay as happy?;)
“Have ‘I’ tried it yet.” Wait Kim, I need to pick myself off the floor and stop laughing. 1 deep knee bend and things would never work the same again. 🙂
😆
Ahh my Saturday morning giggle has arrived…and the weekend begins! 🙂
Good!
That is way too cute! Don’t think I can get any of my pups to do that…pretty amazing
Never mind your pups. I couldn’t do this Tina.
Just showed two of my kids this video and they made the point of showing me that the dog is only doing it once and then it is repeated. They thought it was pretty lame that i actually thought the dog was continually doing the squats…These kids today just want to spoil things for us parents 🙂
Laughing. Yes they do… 🙂
OMG that’s too funny!
Yes Darlene. Another one of those GIFs where you ask yourself, why am I still watching this.
Is that for real? Where do you find these things, David?!
Of course it is. 🙂 You know I can’t tell you that Anneli. 🙂
As if I were holding my breath for you to tell me….(sigh)….
How about a chocolate chip cookie in lieu of the secret sauce?
Ohhhhhhh, alllllll right.
Totally cool… 🙂
Now that’s duplication! The dog has the man beat…amazing.
Yes he does. They are like synchronized swimmers these two, with the dog leading.
Who is teaching who.
Exactly! 🙂
