  1. I log into Instagram about once every three months. Took me 10 minutes to find this “ice cream post”. Jetpack would send me to iPhone apps (Instagram already installed)… Open the app using the open button available in iPhone apps… Doesn’t send me to your post. I finally had to search for the name of the ice cream company manually on Instagram to find the darn post! LOL.

    Rookie impression of Instagram:
OMG!! My brain immediately short circuited from information overload. Loved your photos and Cara’s as well of course. Caught up on Wally news I have been missing.

But in between those photos from you and Cara (currently all that I want to see)… Too much info “random photo/video overload” that makes my head want to explode! At some point I guess I will have to learn how to “filter things out” on Instagram (if that’s possible). I must admit I’m impressed by whatever algorithm digs through my online footprint and pulls up every photo/video about things that I am interested or semi interested in! Sports cars, tennis, specific posts from my favorite racing drivers and tennis stars… And on and on and on!…

Dear Instagram: please don’t shove a fire hose worth of info down my throat without my permission! (PAUL’S HEAD EXPLODES!!) I think I need to see a therapist now!

Anyway… I’m thrilled that I’m going to reach age 105 with no effort whatsoever! 🙂 🙂

  2. the same happiness level I feel whenever there is new benefits of coffee research. p.s. haven’t seen anything positive about fthe ‘flamin’ hot Cheetos’ effect. yet.

  3. Hmmm, I’m a wee bit suspicious of those ‘sponsoring’ this wonderful news nugget, but if it makes ya happy, pal, I am going with it. Long live ice cream lovers! 💪😝❤️

  4. Noticed you’re following me now Paul. What a compliment! Thank you! Instagram has it down to a science and your phone is always “listening”.

With this info, I think I will live to 110.

  5. DK!!! This might be one of my favorite blog posts to date. As a family of ice cream experts, this is incredibly positive information to share out. I do wonder, being a numbers person (YOU…not me)….should we evaluate this a little more closely?

No…you’re right. I’m sure this is backed my tons of research. Wait…. are you the researcher?

          1. As she should. #teamLori

I’ll sit down and be quiet. (She lied…. She had zero intention of doing that)

  6. Talk about great news! And I bow before all the followers who have commented before me. I for one am going to get an ice cream cone

  7. I think people who visit “Dave’s” Live & Learn… need to try Steve’s Ice Cream from New York & Lopez Island Ice Cream from Washington State…of Course we’ll need a Report from “Paul K”…about the Ice Cream, Candy & Baked Goods he eats While in Paris at the Olympics & Paul K go to the amazing Buffet in Paris! It is unreal (watched a video on youtube Unreal !!!) Also just What is Ray’s favorite Ice Cream?…Dave how about a post on the best Ice Cream flavors favored by your readers and best overall Ice Cream Makers! Oh, yes the chocolate orange ice cream (made on the premises) of a little shop in Virginia City, MT followed by Lavender Lemon ( or was it just luscious Lemon) from a little shop just off the square in Jackson Hole, Wy. We can Guess What Dave’s Fave is – he buys it at Palmers… Oh, perhaps Paul K. will eat Ice Cream in First Class on his way to Paris???

    1. I wish I were going to the Olympics in Paris. That would be a treat! Caleb paid all my expenses when I went a few weeks ago to the French Open tennis tournament with him. This time he said: “Paul… No free ride for you! (Unless you ride on my back!)” I don’t know if camels can swim, but if they can I think asking Caleb to carry me across the ocean is a bit of a stretch. So no Olympics for me! 🙂

Regarding ice cream… Vermont (my home) is also the home of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. I remember when they started out in a little tiny shop in Burlington Vermont. So my choice of ice cream brand has to be Ben & Jerry’s. (otherwise I may be kicked out of Vermont for breach of loyalty contract!) Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is excellent, but I doubt it is the very best anymore because Ben and Jerry sold the business (for a ton of money) and the ice cream is no longer made by hand. It’s now a national brand (possibly international).

However, in the name of loyalty I will stick with my favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream… Which is “Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough” (vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and chocolate chip cookie dough mixed in.) No longer handmade, but still very high-quality… Close to the best I suspect. Just writing this comment is going to force me to go buy some right now! 🙂

  8. I don’t believe this was fake news….
I am sure this was authentic scientific research ….
They interviewed the folks cueing outside the shop, including those at the disabled entrance.

      1. Hmmm… when enough people want to believe something it becomes the truth.
The manipulation of our emotional responses is downright scary though. Who to believe… becomes who we want to believe. Our ability to discern is being overruled by external manipulation and overwhelming social media.
Our hopes, yearnings, addictions, fears, and aversions are on many people’s’ game boards, not just in marketing. (Don’t get me started 🙂
Those of us who can discern, don’t realize how so many others no longer can.

          1. I think your discernment is exceptional in so many areas DK.
Yet understanding the sugar/ food high cravings would be an interesting exploration when you are ready.
