Series can found on Netflix. Must watch T.V. bringing light amid so much darkness. (Thank you Susan)

  3. Attorney Woo is very sweet, but unfortunately plays into the false notion that all autistic people must have extraordinary abilities. For an equally poignant but slightly more realistic portrayal please watch “As We See It” on Amazon Prime, which features autistic actors. Although it too has many unrealistic aspects, it better portrays the struggles of autistic people after school-provided services end at age 22, and the anguish of families trying to plan for what happens when they are no longer around to care for autistic loved ones.

    • Thank you. Episode 3 plot included another autistic person who did not have Attorney Woo’s extraordinary abilities but I totally see your point. I have added “As We See It” to my watch list. Thank you so much for sharing your POV. I can only imagine the strain on families with autistic children and on the children when the parents are not around. Heartbreaking.

      • Thanks – I confess I formed an opinion based only on the first episode of Woo, and I plan to keep watching. “As We See It” really hit home for me, with the perils that can be fall autistic adults, especially women. It was produced by a very successful guy in the entertainment industry who himself has an autistic son. The families in it have had the incredible luck to have found, and are able to pay for, a caring “life coach” for their autistic young adults, but the reality of finding such a person, especially in the current labor market, paying them, and retaining them when your loved one has become very attached is nearly impossible. If anyone knows a “Mandy” (the life coach character) in real life Chicago or environs, send them my way.

  7. If YOU say so! Looks endearing and maybe a bit “unrealistic” (but it helps when the lead is physically beautiful…also in our 3D world). Sound like an Aspergers version of autism???

  8. I was expecting a movie, not a series… It can be tiresome to read a series/movie but I shall give it a go…
