I notice something, a feeling in my chest. Lightness. Joy. Or something that tastes like it. That flicker you get, of a déjà vu. A place you were once, even though you can’t say where or when. I used to feel like this.

Notes:
- Portrait of and story on Jillian Horton via edialogue: “Reclaiming Herself”
- Post Title & Inspiration: Aldous Huxley: “It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.”
Could it be called SPRING? A marvellous quote, and one I wholeheartedly share with Jillian, you and whoever is willing to share (with me)…. Thanks for the smile you created here!
We’re going with Spring! (And not Ukraine, divisive politics, and other madness)
it is something many lost touch with during these extremely challenging times
Sure have!
It really is magical when that feeling of pure joy bursts forth in one’s chest. Have GOT to get this book…
Yes!
So poignant. I thought of the trials of doctors and healthcare workers during the pandemic when I read this. Thankfully joy can rise with our memories even in the hardest of times. Perhaps this is what keeps us humans going.
Think you are so right Val.
A good feeling, isn’t it?
It is!
It’s comforting to know we never lose this deep feeling of belonging, love, joy and peace. It’s always here. We simply separate from it and can reconnect anytime we create space to ignite again. 🙏🏻
Oh, to swim in it permanently!
I’m glad she tapped into Joy…after having been in a drought…so much stress facing difficult situations in her professional life & personal life that she wasn’t taking care of herself…how this affected her personal life of family, obviously been quite a toll…Glad she broke through the waterline and swam into Joy…
Yes…
